Do you mean Visio 3 or Visio 2003?
In the case of Visio 2003: Yes, you can have more than 5 bands in the flowchart. You have to start with 5 bands initially;
further by dragging and dropping "Functional band" shape from "Cross Functional FLowchart Shapes" stencil, you can
add more bands. But that would cause the bands to go out of the drawing page which can be rectified using one of the
following methods:
- Using a bigger paper size for printing [Change the paper size in File > Page Setup > Print Setup]
- By reducing the size of the bands manually
Hope this will help!

Is it possible to utilize more than five (5) bands in a cross-functional
flowchart with Visio 3.0? I need 8 bands for a flowchart that I'm creating.
