I recently started to use a third-party browser as my primary and default
browser. Since setting this app up as my OS default browser (via the
Defaults applet), I've noticed a strange behavior in all of my office apps.
If I click on a URL, it launches two instances of the new browser each of
which go to the same URL. I have verified this problem in Outlook, Word and
Excel.
These are all Office XP components running on a Windows XP system with SP2.
BTW, this happened before SP2 as well...
Any ideas why I am getting two instances of the browser and how to stop it?
