Multiple column breaks/section breaks on single page

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Power PC

How do I format a page so that I can have multiple sections?
I am formatting a newsletter. Some articles are short. I want each article in 2 columns, but want to add new section headlines mid-page, and then have the material following also in columns, but below the 1st article. Not beside it.

Does anybody have any suggestions?
