Use a newsreader instead of the crufty web interface.

I have no clue what newsreader is. Please advise.

I was able to create a new Contacts_Non-Sync folder per your instructions.
Thank you very much! I now have the following questions:

1. How do I transfer contacts from my main Contacts folder to my new
Contacts_Non-Sync folder?
2. How do I right click on an e-mail address and add to the new
Contacts_Non-Sync folder instead of the old Contacts folder?
3. How do I get the enw Contacts_Non-Sync folder to show up in the
Navigation Pane for the mail interface of Outlook 2007?

Re: Moving contacts from folder1 to folder2

#1 - Open folder1 - with all contacts showing (Phone list view is best for
this purpose)
#2 - If moving a <block of contacts> - click (once) and higlight first
contact, hold shift key, click on last contact in block
#3 - Click right mouse button and "move to folder"

#4 - If moving random contacts from folder1 - then hold Ctrl key down and
highlight all desired contacts
#5 - same as step#2

Re: auto adding to new contact folder from email address

You can't - all contacts will only be added to your default (primary)
contact folder

Re: Having new contact folder show up in mail interface

Assume you are referring to having it accessible for contact selection in
the "TO: CC: or BCC" lines for a new email message
#1 - Right click on new contact folder --> Properties --> Outlook Address
Book tab --> make sure that the "Show this folder as an E-mail Address Book"
is checked

I have no clue what newsreader is. Please advise.

Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, Xnews, Forte Agent are all
newsreaders. They understand the NNTP protocol.

Thank you very much! I now have the following questions:

1. How do I transfer contacts from my main Contacts folder to my new
Contacts_Non-Sync folder?

Open the main Ccontacts folder, select the contacts you with to transfer,
then right-click and drag the selection to the new folder.
2. How do I right click on an e-mail address and add to the new
Contacts_Non-Sync folder instead of the old Contacts folder?

Double-click the address instead and use the Move to Folder option. FOr
Outlook 2003, that was on the File menu, so perhaps in Outlook 2007, it's
accessed by the Office Orb (I can't check because I'm not at my Outlook 2007
system right now). I'm sure someone else will be able to jump in with the
location.
3. How do I get the enw Contacts_Non-Sync folder to show up in the
Navigation Pane for the mail interface of Outlook 2007?

It should show up automatically in the Calendar or Folder List view.
