Multiple Contact Listings

When I select contacts in my Naviagation pane, in the upper left I see my
Contacts folder, then folders that say "Contacts 1", "Contacts 2" etc (now
up to 14). I delete eache item (they are all empty) yet the continue to
return. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You've left out too much information.
State how you created your Personal Folders (PST) file and how you entered
data into it. It sounds like you corrupted it by trying to import or
overwrite your PST file.
Use Folder List to see your entire folder tree and tell us how many Contacts
Folders you have in this profile.
