Multiple Contacts - Creating Families or Couples

I have mulitple contacts and would like to have a common grouping for each (i.e. families and couples) and share common fields such as anniversary dates & mailing addresses (snail mail and e-mail). As of now, each individual is a unique contact (no problem), but I still need to type the addresses for each, as well as entering all anniversary and child information for each parent. Is there a common ground for these items? Unfortunately, a distribution list is only equipped to add contacts without adding additional inofmation outside of notes. I would still like to see all the birthday and anniversary dates show up on my calendar as they do now (hopefully only one anniversary calendar item, right now I get two: one for each parent).

I am using Outlook 2003. Thanks in advance.
