Multiple Copies in Archive File?

B

Billy

Hi,

I have a case of Auto Archive generating multiple copies of emails when it runs. That is, instead of Auto Archive adding just one copy of each email to the pst file, it adds numerous copies. So I have ended up with an archive which has multiple copies of each email. An idea how to fix this? I think my auto archive settings are fairly standard.

Thanks

Billy

If autoarchive is putting multiple copies of the same message into the archive
PST, I'd say that the original message isn't being properly removed from the
original data store. What type of account are you using?

Thanks,

Im using Outlook 2007 with Exchange Server 2007. There are different numbers of multiple copies of each email. For example, I get eight copies of a few emails in succession, followed by 4 copies of few emails etc.

Is OWA set up on your Exchange server? If so, use it to examine the mailbox.
Do you see multiple messages there as well?

I'm really getting to hate this posting method. It doesn't seem to be able to
quote prior messages and it makes a post one single long line with no word
wrapping. Consider using a real newsreader.
