Multiple copies not printing in Word 2002 w/SP2

I have two computers connected to an HP Jet-Direct module on an LJ 1300
through a passive hub. I copied a document from my machine to my wife's
machine so that she could make changes to it. She then tried to print 30
copies of it. Only 1 copy printed. I tried this several times, and even
restarted her machine, and also the printer, but it simply would not print
more than one copy. I think this is the first time she has ever had to print
more than one copy of anything, so I don't know if this has always been a
problem, or if it's something that has just started happening.
I ended up copying the document back to my machine, and as expected, I was
able to print 30 copies.
Any suggestions? I do have SP3 on my machine, but I had SP1 and SP2 prior
to that and Office 97 before that, so I would have noticed if multiple copies
weren't printing at any time over the past 10 years.

Check that you have the latest printer driver installed on her machine. Try
deleting and reinstalling the printer. If that fails, try changing the
number of prints default setting through Start, Printers and Faxes. Then
open Word and test to see if it prints out that number of copies. Let us
know how this goes.
