Multiple copies of App in Registry

I have built an Access package with Office Developer XP
running in Win 2000 which uses Access Runtime. It
installs fine, but each install creates a new program in
the registry with only one copy of the program in
the "C:\Program Files" folder. Is there a way to tell the
package not to create a new instance in the registry and
not have to get the user to uninstall before installing an
update?

You might want to switch to a better setup package. Try Inno Setup as
www.InnoSetup.com

I am delivering Access Runtime with my package so doesn't
that limit me to the developer build and install?

Probably not. Ask around in the Access newgroups or the InnoSetup
newsgroups.
