Why do I get 2 copies of each email in MS Outlook?

NFC. What version of Outlook and when did this start? What did you change
in the meantime? Are these 2 separate e-mails or the mail with an
attachment?
Please, in the future, try to post more than "I can't get my mail. Why?"
You cause those of us who try to help more pain by having to ask the obvious
that should have been included in the original post by having to ask a
follow-up for basic information. Plus, SOME of us have a regular life that
does not include posting to news groups (you know, movies, parties, seeing
friends, work, etc.) so every time you post something without SOME details
means that someone else has to ask for them, with no guarantee of when we
can again view your post, if any.

I don't have an answer, but it happens to me too. I view my Hotmail a/c via
Outlook Express and sometimes I get two of everything, sometimes not!!!!
These can be with or without attachments.
As I am on limited downloads with my ISP, I wonder if that counts as double
the amount of downloads. Also Hotmail only give you 2mbs worth of
'messages', which would be taken up rather quickly when I get two of every
message. Working with OE 5.
