multiple countif question

I have a sheet with 100 rows. cell A contains either 1 or 2. Cell
contains either 1 or 0. I want to count all the 0s in cell B wher
the value in A is 1. This is essentially a multicriteria counti
problem.

Any ideas.

Try the sumproduct function

=SUMPRODUCT(--(A1:A100=1),--(B1:B100=0)

I had no idea that a sumproduct could be used in this way so thanks for
all your help.
I cant say that I understand how it works, but it works!
