Multiple delete finished tasks?

Using Outlook 2002, in the 'Outlook Today - (Personal Folders)' view there
are 3 columns: Calendar, Tasks and Messages. The tasks have a small
checkbox at the left of each entry. If I check these the entry is scored
out. But how do I DELETE them completely please? I see no tool icon or
menu item for this.

They don't disappear after the current calendar has expired? Even if
you customize the Outlook Today view, the options for Tasks only lets
you choose to see all of them or just those that are due to today (with
or without those that have no due date). When you check them off so
they are completed, they show as crossed out. They'll remain crossed
out because they expired today. Tomorrow they shouldn't show up. Tasks
completed today remain crossed out until the next day when they
disappear.

If you want them gone the same day you check them off then go into Tasks
to delete the task.

Many thanks. Happy to wait a day for deletion!
