Multiple Emails received from some people, but not others.

I am using Outlook 2003 and I receive 2 copies of the same email from some
people and companies. I have a two that generate 3 copies of the same email.
I have not found any pattern to the problem. I receive single emails from
some people in my company and double email from a few. My daughter's emails
to me are always in triplicate. I have checked the distribution list of
people at my company and I am not entered twice or anything like that. Those
that send duplicate or triplicate emails always send duplicate or triplicate.
Any ideas??

I have created rules that put each of my emails in folders. Many of them do
not receive duplicate emails, so I have not created a rule. (At least not on
purpose.)

do you have a 'stop processing' on each rule? if not, the message is tested
against every rule. With stop processing, as soon as 1 message meets the
conditions, rule processing stops for the message and moves to the next
message.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Diane!!! You were correct, it was a rule
problem. It turns out I had extra copies of the same rule in my list. Some
had as many as 4. I will start using the stop processing as well. Thanks
Again.
