I have installed Office on my desktop and my laptop when
i went to register the copy on my laptop a message came
up saying that the copy was already registered. Do I have
to buy another copy of office?

Do you mean Registered or Activated? The two are entirely different.
Acivation is compulsory, Registration is not.

Hi Mark,

If the copy of MS Office you have is an OEM
copy, you're limited to one computer, same with
the Office XP Student & Teachers Edition.

If you a boxed retail copy of MS Office
and you're not able to activate on line you
can use the telephone activation method. Full
boxed retail copies allow 2 installations
(the license agreement is in the help files
of your Office apps).
