I have used the trial version of office 2007. I would like to buy the Office
professional 2007 for my home use. Can I install it on my PC and 2 laptops? A
total of Three machines?

No, MS Office Professional 2007 retail products allows one PC and one 'portable' activations (two machines) at a time.

Office 2007 Home and Student Edition (http://office.microsoft.com/suites allows 3 for a single household.
