Multiple Instances of MPS 2003 with different branding.gif

Hi there

We are currently implementing several Project Servers in Switzerland and
have to solve the following requirement:

The client requests two installations on one server, which we created
successfully with editsite.exe according to the kb article. Web Access works
fine; Project Professsional as well.

Now we want to make those two installations visible to the users: one being
the productive system, the other one the test system. By modifying the
branding.gif we started the approach. But there is only one iis virtual root
directory with one file in this set up. By copying the directory and make the
corresponding adjustments in IIS PWA seems to work all right, but Project
Professional rejects login with a message telling us that a connection to
Project Central Server is not possible.

Who has experience with such a setup and can guide us there?

BTW: We use a single host implementation with Win2003-SP1, SQL200-SP3, IIS6,
MPS2003-SP1 on a Virutal PC that worked fine for months now with several
"standard" installations.

Juerg,

I am also facing the same issue and have started a post just a day before
you. If I get an answer, I will let you know. If you receive one, I would
appreciate it if you could forward to me. By the way, what changes did you
make in IIS to point to the new virtual directory? Did you just change the
Virtual Directory Local Path, or was there more to change? Also, are you
using WSS with it? Are you planning multiple Sharepoint sites if you are?

Regards,
Mike Walraven
