multiple instances of Office Clipboard appear on screen

Office 2000: In Word, when User selects View, Toolbars, Clipboard, the
Clipboard appears (pops up) all over the screen, maybe ~12 times or so. Any
idea how to restore it to the default of opening/appearing onscreen of just
once instance? Thank you.
