Multiple Item Selection

When selecting multiple items (such as guides) and you miss one, Visio does
not retain those items that you had already selected. The previous version
of Visio retained the previously selected items.

Can you describe the keys you are pressing. Either the Shift or Ctrl key
can be used when clicking on shapes to add them or remove them from the
current selection.
