Multiple language support

I want to save content in my contacts in Polish and English. I paste
Polish text in the contact fields. But when I save it it changes it to
English characters. How do I fix this??

I have the same question, but concerning all EE languages.
I asked several days ago as well as over a month ago and
never got an answer. I assume that for any character not
in the code page 1252 character set, Outlook can only
insert the unaccented base character. Unfortunately some
of the Polish characters are not in code page 1252. One
would think that since MS is pretty much unicode
compatible, this shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully we are
missing something simple somewhere. But for some reason, I
think Outlook is crippled in this area.

I don't think it can be fixed. I asked essentially the
same question a few days and about a month ago and didn't
get an answer. From my testing and limited knowledge of
Outlook, it appears that it doesn't know how to handle
characters in unicode fonts that are in a code page
character set other than 1252. In fact, while in Contacts
I can't even change the keyboard to an EE language. It
always reverts back to English.

I can possibly see a rationale for Outlook refusing to
handle non-code page 1252 characters at some levels, but
Contacts contains my information, MS is unicode
compatible, the standard MS fonts are unicode, and
Contacts ought to be able to handle any character in the
font.

This is the third time I've replied to your message, but
it never shows up for some reason.

I think you are out of luck. I have asked essentially the
same question a few days and a month ago and got no reply.
I don't think Contacts is 100% unicode compatible. It can
only handle characters from the the 1252 code page
character set. Why I don't know. Other MS programs can
handle any character if it is included in a unicode font.
In fact, I can't even switch to an Eastern European
keyboard when in Contacts. It always switches back to
English. I think MS dropped the ball here.
