I don't think it can be fixed. I asked essentially the
same question a few days and about a month ago and didn't
get an answer. From my testing and limited knowledge of
Outlook, it appears that it doesn't know how to handle
characters in unicode fonts that are in a code page
character set other than 1252. In fact, while in Contacts
I can't even change the keyboard to an EE language. It
always reverts back to English.
I can possibly see a rationale for Outlook refusing to
handle non-code page 1252 characters at some levels, but
Contacts contains my information, MS is unicode
compatible, the standard MS fonts are unicode, and
Contacts ought to be able to handle any character in the
font.
