multiple lines in a cell

I would like to have several lines in one cell. For example, I am working
on translations and want the English on one line and the Spanish on the
next, like this:

Num. People
Cantidad de Gente

If I type a carriage return after "People" it just takes me to the next
cell. Is there a way to let Excel know that there is an end of line after
"People"?
