Multiple Macs using Entourage.

I bought Office '08 Family pack with 5 installs.

I recently got a new laptop and gave the old to my wife. We use an Apple wireless network at home and when I have Entourage open it won't let her use hers. It says that my copy of Entourage is already open on another computer.

When we cloned our respective user accounts to the respective new computers,wouldn't that transfer the product ID's with the software in the user account?

Do I have to uninstall something?

Shouldn't you be able to upgrade to a new computer without buying new software each time?

Your '5 installs' should come with 5 separate serial numbers that you
need to enter as you're installing the software. It's not entirely on
the honor system.

You'll need to reset one of the copies' PID (see
<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/install/index.html#resetkey>), and
re-register it.

There is a Home & Student version with 3 keys, but there is no family pack
for Office unless I missed it. Are you thinking of the Apple family pack to
install the OS?
