Multiple Master in Powerpoint on Mac?

I know that Powerpoint XP and 2003 on PC have the multiple masters
functionality, but was wondering if it's available on the Mac side? I'm
currently running Office 2004.

Yes, it is available in PowerPoint 2001/X/2004, but it doesn't have the same
interface. To apply a different template to a slide, open the slide, and
then go to Format > Slide Design. Choose the presentation template you want
and then choose to "Apply to the selected slide".

You can edit the multiple masters in View > Master > Slide Master, but there
is no way to add and remove them.

To complete Mickey's answer, you can set your PPT preferences to preserve
original slide layout when copying some slides form a presentation and
pasting then in another
