Multiple ON windows

Any guidance appreciated. Using 2007 on Vista Home Premium

I'm trying to tame multiple instances of the program opening with each Clip
to One Note.

- On boot, I have Icon in Task Mgr.
- If I do multiple Clips before filing Unfiled Notes, another One None
window opens
- If I have the Program open (+ Task Bar) for work on it, I still get new
windows opening

Hence, if, for example, I do 5 Clips, I get 5 copies of the One Note program
opening. Is there a way to tame that?

I wonder if it's a Vista issue — since the same thing happens in MS Word XP
Office. In XP, new Word docs would open in same open Word program. Now, every
Word doc I open, opens a new version of Word.

Thanks for any advice.

It also can happen in Windows XP.

Try the following:
Right click on the OneNote icon in the Taskbar.
Point to Options and than Screen Clipping Defaults.
Select: Copy to Clipboard and Unfilled Notes {Don't Show Image}.

The above prevents new copies of OneNote 2007 opening with each screen
clipping in Windows XP.
