I want to sent up two profiles in Outlook, mainly to allow my wife and I to
share a Calendar. There are so many postings on this topic that it makes me
nervous, and I want some reassurance before trying!
The MS Help site says:
"You cannot switch between profiles while Outlook is running. To change
profiles, you must exit Outlook, and then select the appropriate profile when
you restart Outlook"
Does that mean that if my wife is logged on under her ID and me under mine,
we can't be simply running in parallel under different profiles, but have to
close Outlook down and restart each time we switch users, if we install
separate profiles?
We share one internet email account (Blueyonder/Virgin) with separate email
addresses. At present we use just one profile - "Outlook".
What other barriers are out there to potentially trip us up installing and
using separate profiles? When I see how easy it is in Google Calendar to see
each other's diary entries, that is what I yearn for, by I want it in
Outlook, part of my integrated MS Office Suite and readily downloadable to my
cell phone on synchronize.
All help, tips, warnings, alternatives gratefully received.
