Multiple Project Server Instances on one (1) machine

Hello,

i have some questions about multiple project server 2003 instances on one
(1) physical machine:
Is it possible to do so?
Is it officially supported by Microsoft? When yes, is it possible to post a
link to the according statement?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Yes and Yes. If you go to Microsoft.com/downloads and search for site editor
or editsite, depending on your version, you can download the tool Microsoft
provides for doing this. If that's not proof enough that it's a sanctioned
practice, you can search through the documentatin and the KB to find other
references.

Thank you for the information. It was very helpful. I tried it on one machine
(a german windows server 2003 with german WSS and ProjectServer with german
SP2a) and it worked very well - no problems.

But on another machine with all software in english version i ran into
troubles:
I got the following error message at the end of the process:

" [new ps instance name]: Sharepoint site could not be created.
Windows SharePoint Service Error Message: soap:Server Exception of type
Microsoft.SharePoint.SoapServer.SoapServerException was thrown. The language
is not supported on the server. 0x8102005e"

Maybe you or somebody else has a hint how to resolve this problem? As
mentioned all software is in english. I don't understand why this happens.

I had to use the database setup script from a german ProjectServer
installation media, because the english media was not available at the moment
- can this be the reason for my problem? But this script only sets up the
ProjectServer DB for the additional instance. WSS uses the same content db as
the default instance, so i don't believe that this is the problem.

Thanks in advance,
Mike
