Multiple search criteria

I have a friend who is comfortable entering search criteria in the design
grid of a query. But she asked me if there was some way to make the grid
open as a form. This is mainly for aesthetic reasons than functional.

I looked into it and was surprised that Microsoft didn't include a method
for accomplishing this. At least not that I could find.

By the way she doesn't know SQL, so having her write a SQL statement on a
form isn't an option.

Also there are about 20 fields in the query. All, some or none may be used
to narrow the result set. There is no predicting which ones and how many of
the fields will be used from search to search.

So I guess my question is: Can you open a query design grid in a form?

You can open a form and filter by form (see the standard menu and toolbar
when a form is open).
