Multiple staff having update capabilities within MS Project 2002.

I have a case where two staff people need access to update an individual
schedule. I know a few of my options. I can transfer ownership back and forth
to each of them when they need it, or I can give them administrator access
that will allow them both to update the individual schedule. Are there any
other ways to grant update access to both of them for an individual schedule?

There is no way for more than one person to manage all tasks in a project.
It is possible, however, for different people to manage different sections
of a project. If the latter is what you want to do, each section's PM
should open the project and do the following:

1. Select the tasks that he/she will manage
2. Click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments
3. Select the "Selected tasks" option at the top of the dialog
4. Select the "Become the manager for these tasks" option
5. Click the OK button

Hope this helps.

If your system is in mixed mode, you can create a Project Server
Authenticated account that the two users can share. Be warned that they must
use the account at the same time, or the system will confuse their sessions
and data can be lost.
