I am trying to set up a document template for a dissertation according to my
university's requirements. Setting up Heading styles allows for easy
generation of an automatic table of contents.
For one of the heading styles, they require that the heading be:
1. Left aligned
2. Indented 0.5" from the left
3. Underlined
4. 12 point spacing Before
5. 0 point spacing After
6. Line spacing is Double space
That's all easy to set up. The kicker comes in where they then require the
subsequent paragraph to start on the same line (immediately after the
heading) and the Normal style is a little different:
1. Left aligned
2. Indented 0.5" from the left for the first line
4. 0 point spacing Before
5. 0 point spacing After
6. Line spacing is Double space
It does not matter that the first line of the Normal style will have extra
space above it as a result of the Heading, but I cannot get Word 2007 to
allow me to change the style midway through a line, keeping the first part of
the line in one style and the latter part of the line in another.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
