Anyone ever create more than one toc in a document? I need to create a main
table that goes from pages 1-300 and a secondary toc that encompasses pages
50-99.
Help would be appreciated.
Read the section "A partial table of contents" in
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/TOCSwitches.htm for discussion. Really,
the only part you need is this:
~~~~~~~~~~~
For this you use the \b switch. Select the portion of the document you want the
table of contents to cover and assign a bookmark, such as “Chapter1.” Then
insert the \b switch, followed by the bookmark name, in the TOC field, like
this:
{ TOC \b Chapter1 \o “1-3” }
~~~~~~~~~~~
For your purposes, apply two bookmarks with different names. Then insert two
tables of contents, each with one of the bookmark names in its \b switch.
