Multiple tasks on one line

How can I display numerous tasks on the same line without splitting?

I have a 6 month project where I will be cycling different personnel for 3
week blocks. I want to be able to display this on a gnatt chart where each
"block" shows up on the same task line so when I look at each block I will
see the person who is assigned to that 3 week block and not just the 6 month
duration.

Example

X Engineer ------------I have 6 different X Engineers I will be using. I
want to be able to attach a resource "by name" to each X Engineers duration
on the same line. My desire is when I right click on the each box on the same
line and look at "task information" I will see different names and the
duration will only be when the engineer by name is on site.

Next line
Y Engineer............. have 5 different Y Engineers I will be using. I want
to be able to attach a resource "by name" to each Y Engineers duration on the
same line.

etc....

Did I confuse everyone??

It is somewhat confusing, but I'm clear enough on what you want to say
that Project doesn't do what you're asking. XL would be much better
for your application. Project is mainly intended to do Critical Path
Method scheduling, which is the standard scheduling method in most
industries world wide. There are many other ways of scheduling in
various industries or just thought up by individuals by themselves.
Project doesn't do any kind of scheduling someone might desire. No
software is that flexible. I think that if you decided to learn how to
schedule using CPM, you could probably get something more powerful
and, in the long run, more usefull that what you're asking for, but I
don't know if you want to spend the time to learn it. But what you
want to do at present Project simply won't do.
