I want to modify a shape to have two text boxes containing the same
information, but located on different areas of the shape.
The shape is the Dynamic Connector and in this case being used to
indicate a shipboard electrical cable running between two electrical
cabinets. Because the diagram is large and complex it's important
to show the cable identification at both cabinet connections.
Currently, after we run the dynamic connector between the cabinets, we
double click the connector enter the Cable ID (text), copy the text,
and drag the text to one end of the cable. At the other end of the
cable add a text box to the diagram and paste the cable ID into the
text box. This is time intensive and prone to errors as any double
entry system is.
I want to be able to double click the cable enter the text one time and
have it show up in both locations. If it's possible to do this in
the shapesheet it could be applied to the document master dynamic
connector and every cable we draw would work that way.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
