Multiple use of a footnote

Hi all

I've created some footnote test, and it's been superscript numbered and all
is as it should be. What I now want to do is make further references to the
same footnote in different areas of the page. If I cut and paste the
footnote number, Word creates a new footnote with identical text and gives
it the next sequential number. How can I persuade Word to have multiple
identically numbered references to one footnote text?

Thanks

Jacques

Insert | Reference | Cross-reference to Footnote number of Footnote (select
the appropriate one). The number will update if the note number changes.
