multiple users accessing at same time

David

I'm setting up Access as our central point of data entry
for activities within the Planning & Development
department. I can not access the form while someone else
is using it. Is there a way around this problem?

Can I create another form that will link to the main form?

Thanks

Hi David

Go to Tools/Options/Advanced, your Default Locking should be set to Edited
Record and Default Open Mode set to Shared.

Hi David,

I always set up a front-end / back-end system for multi-user data entry.
The back-end will hold all the tables and the front-end with contain all the
forms, reports, queries, etc... Then, distribute the front-end to the
people of whom you wish to give access to the data.

Hope this helps,
- Glen
