Multiple users from a Server

Can an Access database be on a server, a copy dowloaded to
a laptop which is then disconected from the server, the
information on the laptop updated or added to, then when
the laptop is connected back to the server update the
server records which are kept as a master copy

what you are describing is a process called replication.
