Multiple versions of Office show in Add /Remove Programs

I am trying to recover disc space; Add/Remove Programs shows the following
programs on my hard disc:

(a) Office Premium 2000 SR-1
(b) Office SR-1 Disc 2
(c) Office Pro 2003

Can I delete the first two items listed above without doing damage to the
latest version on my machine, that is, Office Pro 2003. In other words, is it
safe to remove Office Premium 2000 SR-! and Office SR-1 Disc 2 without doing
damage to Office Pro 2003 (which I use daily).

Also, I see a program listed as Outlook Personal Folders Backup. What is it,
and what is its function?

Thanks! Your help/input will be much appreciated!

a & b are there because the 2000 premium version of Office contains
components not included in 2003 pro

Outlook PFB is a free addin from MS for use with Outlook (a backup tool)

If you are that short of disk space you need another HD, removing the above
items will not help much, and the latter one not at all.

DL,

Thanks very much. I sincerely appreciated your speedy response!

According to Add/Remove Programs, files a and b (below) occupy ± 690 Megs of
space, so while "not much" in the typical environment today, on this machine
with only 30 Gigs space on the hard disk, it's quite a bit (i.e., about 2.5%
of the total available space). On the other hand, given your feedback, I'll
leave them installed.
Thanks again!

Given that your 2000 version shows as 690mb, it would appear that when you
installed Office2003 you chose not to update/remove the earlier version
components.
To the best of my recollection Office2k premium contains MS Front Page which
is the only App not supplied with 2003 pro
Assuming you still have the Office2k cd I would perhaps insert it and modify
your installation to remove those components supplied with 2003
ie Word,Excel,Powerpoint,Access,Publisher.
After which you may have to repair your 2003 installation.
