Using Word 2000, if a document is opened, a new window appears with the
opened Word file. So far, so good. If a second Word document is opened via
Windows Explorer, a second Word window is opened and two Word icons are
present on the Windows status bar. Yet the Word window seems to know about
the second open document if you look in the Windows menu.
This is all part of how Word 2000 works.
The question is, how is it possible to have only one Word bar in the status
bar - regardless of how many documents are opened. Since you can switch
between documents via the Windows menu, I do not want a whole load of Word
bars present.
In other words, I want it how Word 97 used to handle it.
TIA
