Multiple Word Document Windows

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Sometimes when I have two different Documents open and I click on some text or on a toolbar, the other document window will come to the front. It wont be selected and I have to click on it again and then click back to the other document to keep working. I am using Spaces (and I do, by the way, think it is completely ridiculous that Word is incompatible with it) but all of my word windows are only open in one space so I don't see why that would do it. Arg. Is there a fix for this?

Why do you think it's ridiculous that Word is incompatible with Spaces?

Spaces was released after Word was completed. Now it's here, Microsoft can
see that the Word UI software needs a redesign to work with it. Software
companies do not release new designs as "Updates", so I expect Spaces
support might be in the next version.

In the meantime, if you turn Spaces off, the problem won't happen. If you
roll back to OS 10.4 the problem won't happen.

Cheers
