multiple workbooks opening

When I open a saved Excel workbook, two blank workbooks open also. How did
this happen and how can I stop it?

Any saved workbook or just one.

Try searching for a folder called XLSTART and see if you have any excel
files in there, as these will open any time you launch Excel
