HI. I'M SIMPLY TRYING TO GET A NUMBER IN, SAY B2, TO MULTIPLY WITH A NUMBER IN C2, AND HAVE THE TOTAL APPEAR IN D2. I WOULD LIKE TO DO THE SAME THING ALL THE WAY DOWN FOR ABOUT 18 COLUMNS, HAVING B3XC3=D3, B4XC4=D4 ETC ETC. THEN, AT THE VERY END, I WANT TO ADD ALL THE TOTALS IN COLUMN D AND HAVE THAT SUM APPEAR SAY IN CELL D19. I AM NOT THE MOST TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED PERSON, AND AM FINDING THIS SIMPLE TASK MOST FRUSTRATING- MY PC WAS MUCH MORE STRAIGHTFORWARD! HELP, IN SIMPLE LAYMAN'S TERMS, WOULD BE MOST WELCOME.~ ALLEK

First, don't use all capitals. It's impolite and the equivalent of shouting.
Second, in this regard, Excel works EXACTLY the same on the PC ans the
Macintosh, so the level of frustrations should be no different.

In D2, enter the formula =B2*C2. Press Enter. Then carefully move the mouse
over the lower left corner of the cell until the cursor changes to a solid
(not hollow) Plus sign. Then drag down for as many rows as you need. To get
the totals in D19 enter the formula: =sum(d1:d18)
