multivalue lookup data in backend, not frontend

I have a multivalue lookup field setup in a table to pull data from another
table. In the backend database I have set a few of the records in this field
as a test. These records do not show any data in this field in the frontend.
Also, I cannot make a selection in the frontend that will save. Any thoughts.

Try deleting the table from the front end (since it is only a link), and
linking it again (on the External Data tab of the ribbon.)

That should solve the problem if you already had the table linked before you
added the multi-valued field.

If that doesn't work, try a compact/repair on the back end (first), and then
on the front end.

Thank you re-linking the table seemed to have worked. I should have thought
of that
