Multple users for OneNote?

How can my two sons, both students each have their own OneNote file, or
Notebook on the Same computer?

Yes, depending on how you have the computer access set up. Does each son
have his own Windows login and profile? There is only one OneNote "My
Notebook" per user profile. OneNote will automatically create the proper
files for separate user accounts.

If each user on your computer has to select his/her name after Windows
boots up, then you should already be set up. If not, you can go to Start
menu | Control Panel | User Accounts (assuming you're on Windows XP) to
create separate accounts.

That isn't the answer I was hoping for, but it makes sense. Maybe in a future
version, the OneNote icon in the system tray can have an option to open
different user files for the side notes and the main program. Thanks for the
help.

Perhaps one way of setting this up could be to add a shortcut to two separate
..one-files in the windows taskbar - one for each of your sons? That way,
they'd be able to quickly access their individual notes.
