iTunes and PowerPoint

I need to increase the max size of my music file to 2M although I understand
that my MPeg3 music file will not embed, only link. To embed, I need to
change my audio file to a wav file. Is this true?

How do I do this?

Yes, it's true, powerpoint can only embed (keep within the .ppt file) .wav
files

find some software on your mac that allows you to open an audio file of one
format (e.g. mp3) and save to another type (e.g. wav)

if it's an itunes file, then it probably includes some kind of copyright
protection...

Quicktime Pro does this. Save as mono wav to keep file size smaller.

Just a clarification for those following the thread:

This only applies to music that's been purchased through the iTunes music
store. Songs that you've ripped yourself don't have any copy protection.

Since you stated in the original post that it's an mp3, this is not an
issue. It will need to be a .wav, though.
