Music in ppt played previously but not now.

I am working on a wedding presentation and need help. I had music in my ppt
presentation and now it will not play. Music was mp3 format that inserted
initially just fine. I previously had this problem that was corrected by
using the Repair tool in ppt help. I have run the repair utility several
times and still no music. Music plays fine in windows. Itunes or mediaplayer.
Music originated from a commercial CD, not a download.

Help.

Try the file in the MCI Media Player -- go to Start/Run and type mplay32.exe

Does the MP3 play there?

Does the length of the full path to the music files exceed 128 characters? Try
moving everything to C:\Test and delete and reinsert the music files and then
test it to see whether the music plays. Since it does play in mplay32.exe, the
files should play in PowerPoint unless the path is too long or the link is
broken.

Okay, thanks for checking. In that case, I'm betting it's a path length
issue. Or maybe one of the other things (software conflict) listed here:
