Music License Migration - Is It Limited?

S

Steve Traveller

I have built a website for a rock band (at
www.therelease.co.uk) which contains original music tracks
recorded by the band. Since the website was published
these tracks have been successfully played from the site
through Windows Media Player once the "Migrate License"
button was clicked. However, when this button is now
clicked on a machine which doesn't already have the
license a 'Migrate License Error' appears, saying "This
content has been shared by multiple users on multiple
machines and cannot proceed with further migration".

We want this original music content to be freely available
from the site and I would appreciate any advice on how to
get round what looks like a problem of some kind of
license limitation.

Not a FP related issue, suggest you visit http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmedia and review the
developer's section, etc.
