Loaded a webpage in Pub 2002. Any ideas why the music won't play? I loaded
a .wav file up. Won't play and also won't play in web preview?
It played when I first created it in the old Publisher version.
Can anyone help me please.

What specific steps did you take to add the background music to your page?

As someone said in the main Pub group, perhaps you should take it as a sign
that you shouldn't use background music, given that it alienates most people
and they will leave the page.

Thank David, I'll leave it out.
I also was in error posting the version.
The website was originally created in an old Pub version and then I
installed Pub 2007.
I like the old version better (might go back to it)

Sorry for allowing myself to be a bit judgmental about background music, but
I don't think I am in the minority. With that said, in Pub 2007 the fastest
way to "insert" the music is to go to Tools > Web Page Options. Under
Background sound browse to your music file. If that doesn't work, I am not
sure what to tell you...

There are advantages to Pub 2000 in my view, 2002 was/is the worst, and 2007
is superior to 2003 for webs, but 2003 is better for print docs. Don't
forget that you can run more than one version on the same computer...just do
a custom install and install each in a custom folder.
