I am having a problem at my office where multiple users can open the same
file simultaneously without always receiving a warning that the file is
already open. When that happens a second version of the file appears with a
nonsensical name (like A55424J7.xls).
The file is stored on a Mac running Office X and it can happen when either a
Mac or a PC accesses the file.
Has anyone else seen anything like this? I'm wondering if upgrading to
Office 2004 will fix it. Thanks.
