My 60 Day trial of 2007 says expired after only 2 weeks

I just bought a laptop (Gateway) which came with a 60 day trial of Microsoft
Office 2007. I understand that One Note can only be use so many times before
it expires.

But Word and Excel no longer work. I got an activation key (just a trial
one) I used it on Saturday 3/28 and on Tuesday it no longer works. It states
the trial has expired and I need to purchase the full version. TO ME THIS IS
WRONG ITS A 60 TRIAL!!!! UUUUAAAGGGHH
I did try to install the converter per Microsoft instructions, as my docs
were unable to be read by other people and this is when the problem started.
I need help desperately. I am not computer savvy and need help with simple,
step by step guidance.
I did contact HSN which is where I purchased the laptop, they reffered me to
Gateway, Gateway said to call Microsoft for an extension of the
trial.......don't need extension I have only used Word and Excel less than
10x and it's to be a 60 day trial.
I may have done someting wrong. When I did look into help from Microsoft
they wanted me to pay. I am at my wits end as I have only had the computer
for a couple of weeks.
If someone could PLEASE HELP
Would someone be able to take some precious time out of their day to help I
would certainly appreciate it.

Happy Day,
Kristina

The trial period is usually some number of days or some number of
uses. Most people run out of uses before they run out of days.
