My attachments are being converted to "winmail.dat" files.

All attachments whether they are .doc, .jpg, .pdf, etc are being converted to
"winmail.dat" files when I send them outside our company intranet. It
doesn't matter what online provider the recipient has or if they are dial-up
or broadband. It has to be something that is set for my email since everyone
has a problem with my attachments.

Try changing your email format from Rich text to either Plain text or
HTML....
