My attachments arrive corrupted at my recepients. How do I fix th

I send pdf files and my friends say they arrive as .dat files and can't be
opened and pictures arrive in some kind of code. These are different people
all running current windows xp computers. I have a pop account as my carrier
and I use outlook to snd and receive e-mail using the yahoo pop account. I
can read and receive e-mails no problem and people I sent e-mails to receive
them, but attachments seem to be useless. Any ideas?

Send your messages in Plain Text or HTML format. It appears you're using
Rich Text, which only another Outlook can read.
