My AutoFilter does not filter all records!

I have an excel spread sheet that contains 24649 records, which when I filter
by date it gives me a certain number of records (9456 or so…) and leaves the
rest of the records not filtered below…
I am using AutoFilter in this case, does it have some kind of limit on
filtering data or am I missing anything here?

Try selecting the entire dates col (click on the column header) before you
apply autofilter. There could be blank rows in-between data rows which would
"break" autofilter.

Another possibility is that not all the dates in the dates col are real
dates recognized by Excel. In which case, select the entire dates col, click
Data > Text to Columns > Next > Next. In step 3 of the wiz, under "Column
data format", check "Date" and select as appropriate from the droplist, eg:
MDY, then click Finish. This will convert text dates to real dates, and
autofilter should work ok now.
